I came to the Norway expecting the cycling to be like the southern alps but was amazed by how much more there are to the fjords. Living on a boat extended the adventure that usually stops when you step off the bike well into the night getting tucked in the berth. its hard to put words on the value for a cyclist keen on climbing that comes from being dropped off in a harbour at sea level with a range of mountains available to you. And then having the luxury to be picked up by the same boat at nightfall, in a different harbour, just do it all again the following day. The variety of roads and the fact that you wont spend a minute on the road without spectacular scenery in ever direction leaves a week in the fjords completely open to anything from hardcore climbing days to pure sightseeing and adventure biking.  

What a week in the Fjords!  My husband and I have travelled extensively and this adventure is up there as one of the best.  Sven and his team look after every need and know the area intimately.  The food was 5-star worth travelling for itself. I have recommended this to girl friends and families and would say with out a doubt it would be suitable for beginners.  The WSA SUP guides make you feel safe and their knowledge and coaching left me feeling like a super star – SUPer

We joined the crew of the HMS Gåssten and ski guides David and Johann last winter for a week of ski touring in Norway’s beautiful Fjords.  It was a fantastic experience.  The ski tours were some of the best in Norway, the guides chose safe and appropriate routes for our group.  We only saw a handful of other skiers the whole week.  The food was great and the hospitality was warm.  This truly was the trip of a lifetime.  If you’re looking to combine adventure, world class scenery, fine food and friendship you won’t go wrong with Fjord Adventures.

The week spent on the Gaasten with Sven, Tash, and Emily was a lifetime experience (one that I hope to have the fortune to repeat – again and again). We came on the boat as “clients” and we left as friends. Truly a unique and special experience. If you’re considering a trip, one word: GO!!!”

Awe inspiring mountains, quaint villages, kind locals, a beautiful boat full of history; Amazing food, awesome guides, grand ski days beginning with seaweed on your boots (where else can that happen?!), ending with cold beers on the deck; Northern lights and cozy dinners and drinks in the Officers Bar. Does it get any better?

I couldn’t recommend Fjord Adventures, the Gaasten, or Sven and his crew any higher.  It was truly a remarkable and memorable trip from beginning to end.

This crew is brilliant and the boat a hidden gem, an incredible adventure with some of the best scenery I have ever seen. Absolutely world class.

There be no trolls aboard the Gåssten! A warm and cosy refuge from the Brutal Beauty of this landscape, it is almost overwhelming. An absolutely unforgettable trip. Thank you all.

Amazing trip on the Gåssten.  Fantastic skiing despite some atmospheric issues!  The Crew and Guides were absolutely fabulous and made sure my time on the boat with my Dad was really special. We will be back! See you all soon.

I thought this trip would be great, I was underestimating this place, the boat and the crew. This has blown my mind. Nature and mother earth never cease to amaze me. Thanks so much for the unforgettable memories!
